Each plate image is strictly limited to 200 prints and the first fifty of the edition are reserved for collectors as complete suites entitled the “Audubon Centennial Edition Suite.” This is the first time that each plate image has been meticulously restored to capture its original beauty and only the third time in 180 years that a complete collection of the Havell Edition has been produced. In creating the “Audubon Centennial Edition” each original Havell engraved Audubon print was captured as a first generation plate image and then underwent an exceedingly sophisticated restoration process, rendering the finished Giclée plate images to the beauty and brilliance when originally hand painted by Havell and his artisans. Each plate image is printed to its exact original dimensions on a superior archival paper and is embossed with the National Audubon Society logo, pencil signed and numbered.
